My least favourite part of being a Product Manager
The good and the bad of product management
One of the questions I get asked most by aspiring product managers is “What is your favourite part about being a product manager?”
There are a ton of articles out there talking about the “great” side of product and don’t get me wrong, I agree with a lot of what’s being said by that side. However, I believe that switching career paths is a huge decision and more information can only aid that decision-making process by reducing uncertainty in the area. I know when I’m working through product problems, more data helps me prioritize better. So if I were to treat this career pivot like any other product problem, I’d also try to understand the flip side of it all, to get a full picture.
With this article I want to answer two questions
- What is your favourite part about being a product manager?
- What is your least favourite part about being a product manager?
